It is basically pain over outer part of the elbow especially on lifting weights, squeezing / wringing etc.

๐๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐: It stems from a strain of extensor group of muscles of forearm and the overuse of such strained muscle leads to localised inflammation of the origin (bony attachment over Arm bone) of Extensor group of muscle aka Lateral Epicondylitis.

๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ : In initial / acute setting :
๐น๐๐๐ : Rest the affected forearm to the max possible extent in your daily activities. Also a Tennis Elbow binder / Support can be used for daily activities.
๐ฐ๐๐: Cold fomentation with ice packs is very soothing and relieves the pain to quite an extent rather than the myth to put some local solutions of quacks & massage which should be strictly avoided.
๐จ๐๐๐ – ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: These are very much helpful in short course rather than the notion that medications cause a lot of adverse effects/ side effects. Relentless usage of Analgesics have definitely caused lot of ill effects to the general population and has created a fear but its not so.๐จ๐๐๐ – ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ given in the right dosage as per advice of your sports medicine consultant / Joint specialist / arthroscopy doctor / orthopaedic surgeon.
๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ : Ultrasound, Interferrential therapy / TENS +/- LASER can help in initial phase of the disease later followed by rehab program.
Chronic phase / Old problem :- Rehab program under supervision of a sports physiotherapist is very helpful to get rid of local inflammation and exercises over a period of time helps retrain the affected muscle group. Also if required MFR by a trained sports physio helps relieve the adhesions, nodules, bands to quite an extent. Some of exercises are mentioned below.
๐ป๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ : Squeeze towel with 3 sets of 10 repetitions each

๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐: With palm facing upwards towards the ceiling and elbow straight pull the palm downwards at Wrist to bend it and hold for 10 secs; repeat it 10 times * 3 sets.
๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: With dumbbells.
