Mucoid degeneration of ACL : An increasingly known cause of knee pain

Mucoid degeneration of Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) of knee is a common entity in young- middle aged females.
It presents with long standing knee pain especially on bending & increasing limitation of knee movements.
It is treatable with Knee Arthroscopy by debulking the damaged yellowish discoloured ACL fibres (filling the notch & causing impingement or limited flexion of knee).
