This is a video of Meniscus tear / injury treatment modality by repairing the tear and saving the natural meniscus by allowing it to heal and retain its normal function. Meniscus tears are common cause of knee pain and knee arthroscopy is the best technique to treat a Grade 3 meniscus tear.
This procedure was performed at Dr Tanmay Chaudhary’s ASIC Indore, Central India by knee arthroscopy. Mostly such tears were either left alone or trephination or Partial meniscectomy was done but repairing the meniscus with all inside technique is a minimal invasive technique with minimal complications and mini incisions over skin to allow for repair of the meniscus. Dr Tanmay Chaudhary and his team performed this procedure.
After apposition of the tear margins natural healing process is hastened and the patient becomes painfree early. Lateral meniscus should mostly be repaired ( LM has high chances of healing as compared to medial meniscus) rather than excised unless is irreparable. Lateral meniscus loss leads to earlier knee arthritis and painful knee if tears are left untreated or excised.
