April 16, 2018Long standing neglected Chronic ACL tear lead to irreparable Medial & Lateral Meniscus tears along with degenerative Osteoarthritis of knee joint, as patients usually do not modify lifestyle after ligament injury of Knee or go undiagnosed or intentionally neglect the problem ( taking it easy).
Big chunk of posterior 3rd of lateral meniscus formed a lump after a tear which was irreparable which will in turn lead to more degenerative changes of the joint (Knee OA).
In this case ACL Reconstruction was done along with meniscus surgery to prevent further instability episodes & cartilage degeneration.
