A young boy with h/o fall from height while playing at khargone, MP, India came to ASIC, Indore with complaints of knee pain & swelling and inability to bear weight over affected leg.
He was clinically examined by Dr Tanmay Chaudhary, Arthroscopy & Sports Injuries Surgeon. After thorough counselling of patient’s parents patient was admitted to Global SNG Hospital, Indore for surgery.
He underwent Knee Arthroscopy of affected leg and was confirmed to have ACL Tibial Avulsion fracture with attached ACL substance to the fractured fragment with lift off.
Arthroscopic reduction and fixation of fracture was performed with suture pullout technique using CLINFIBRE no 2 and titanium endobutton. Surgery was successful and uneventful.
Post Rehab was explained to patient and parents.
